This year, we are inspired by something remarkable. Humanity continues to push the boundaries of what is possible, reaching farther into space than ever before and reminding us that progress begins with the courage to dream beyond what seems attainable.
At MaKami College, our CEO, Marija Pavkovic-Tovissi, often reminds us that "we shoot for the stars and land on the moon." It is a philosophy that has shaped who we are as an institution. We are never satisfied with standing still. We innovate, we challenge convention, and we embrace opportunities to create something even better for our students, our communities, and one another.
Today, we find ourselves at another exciting point in our journey. As MaKami continues to evolve through our transition to an Independent Academic Institution and our growth as a non-profit organization, we are entering a future filled with possibility. New programs, new partnerships, new ideas, and new opportunities are launching us toward an even greater impact. Every lesson taught, every student supported, and every decision made at MaKami creates a ripple effect that strengthens families, transforms communities, and changes lives for generations to come.
None of this happens because of one person. It happens because of all of us.
Every instructor, administrator, advisor, support staff member, and leader plays an essential role in helping our students change their lives through education. Together, we are building something extraordinary.
As you participate in today's sessions, we encourage you to reflect on your own purpose, learn from one another, celebrate our successes, and imagine what is possible when we move forward together.
